Galt to unveil Halo 2.0 at DIA 41st Annual Meeting

Galt Associates, Inc., a leading provider of drug safety and risk management solutions, today announced the unveiling of HaloTM 2.0, their flagship safety surveillance and case series management product, during the DIA 41st Annual Meeting in Washington, DC. Halo is a proven web-based solution that provides sophisticated automated tools to manage and analyze safety data, enabling users to convert data into information and information into answers. Beyond its current nique interactive interface (not normally experienced with Web applications), the new features of Halo 2.0 include:

  • A powerful and consistent interface to perform complex ad hoc queries
  • Output display format that facilitates the on-line, real-time manipulation of data using multi-panel displays presenting a full range of information needed to make medical judgments
  • Capability to easily construct and manage case series throughout ongoing analysis
  • Flexible setup to perform not only advanced signal analysis using proportional or data mining methods, but also traditional signaling methods
  • Qualitative assignment capability to document additional medical information about a case for custom assessments
  • Interactive graphical interface to visualize trends and relationships
  • Full reproducibility of analysis requiring "point-in-time" results
  • Ability to construct medical concepts for aggregated analysis, ensuring consistent use of terminology
  • Impact assessment on previous research to easily process and assess the changes from a new data source
  • MedWatch (3500) or CIOMs case display format to view the data in a format you know
  • Calculation of the Information Component (IC) statistic used in the BCPNN data mining algorithm
  • Enhanced Drug Search interface that provides confidence that the correct drug names are being selected

Halo is a comprehensive research and monitoring environment for safety professionals delivering capabilities far beyond currently touted signaling methods, designed to address the broader range of capabilities needed by safety professionals. Halo, built by safety experts who use these same capabilities in the delivery of their medical research, gives you an integrated "intelligence" center that supports all of your safety surveillance and monitoring, competitive intelligence and safety analysis needs. This leading edge research and monitoring environment provides access to not only proprietary but also public data sources. Safety is knowing you have rapid access to the data required for review and decision-making, with the tools you need to get answers quickly, and with less time devoted to reconciling data discrepancies.
